… a person who reads books. My god, your family will be devastated.

They’re the books that a tv show that millions of people watch is based on. Just ask for them. I seriously doubt anyone think as much into it as you are, and if they do, all you have to say is “I enjoy the show and heard the books were different, so i’m interested.” Good ‘nuff.
